Contact UsThe Center believes in interdisciplinary treatment of the child and family. We work together to address the needs of each individual. Our focus of treatment is based on the developmental model addressing the following skills: attention, cognition, social-emotional, language-communication, motor and sensory processing, and behavioral strategies.
The Center was established in 2007. Our therapists have extensive experience in working with children diagnosed with developmental differences. Visit our Staff for more information about their experience and areas of specialty.
We work closely with caregivers during treatment sessions and will establish areas of treatment to be addressed in the home. The programs developed include individual and group therapies for a wide range of ages.
Occupational, Speech, and Physical therapies are paneled with Aetna, ASR/Physician's Choice, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of Michigan, BCBS Out-of-State, BCBS Federal, BCBS Complete, Blue Care Network, Cigna, Cofinity, McLaren, Meritain, Priority Health, Priority Health Medicaid, Sisco, and United Health Care covering a range of diagnoses.
Clients with other health plans may be able to submit for reimbursement, but payment will be out-of-pocket at the time of treatment. It will be the patient’s responsibility to submit a copy of an itemized bill of services to his/her individual insurance carrier for evaluation of benefits and reimbursement. We have dedicated staff to help answer your questions regarding your policy and coverage.
Clients will receive invoices suitable for insurance purposes. From time to time, these may be lost and copies will be requested. There may be an additional charge if requests are deemed excessive.
We partner with psychologists and social workers from Anchored Family Psychology and Counseling Associates – conveniently located in our Jenison location – for psychological evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
The Center’s team of occupational, speech and physical therapists leverage a holistic treatment of child and family that addresses attention, cognition, social-emotional, language-communication, motor/sensory processing, and behavioral skills.
Anchored Family provides developmental and behavioral health services for children and adolescents. Their psychologists, social workers and BCBA’s are specialists in childhood development, neurodevelopmental disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, mental health concerns, behavioral challenges, learning and performance, and early intervention.
Together, The Center and Anchored Family will work together with you and your family to determine optimal integrative treatment.
Services performed at Anchored Family are billed separately and appointments will need to be scheduled directly with the Anchored Family team.
The cost of an evaluation at The Center is dependent on the length of time required to complete the initial evaluation. An initial evaluation can take from 1-2 hours to administer. This will include time spent with the child for observation/testing, scoring of test material, a written report and treatment plan. Evaluations done by other facilities will be accepted if they are current.
We require a 24-hour notice in the event you need to reschedule/cancel an appointment. If you miss an appointment without notice, we will consider this a missed appointment and a $55 no-show fee will be assessed to you. This applies to late cancellations and “no-shows.” This fee will be billed to you directly and is not covered by insurance – and must be paid prior to your next appointment. If you don’t have a scheduled appointment, the balance is expected in a timely fashion.
If you do not join your TeleHealth session within the first 10 minutes, you will be charged. If you cancel your session less than 3 hours prior to your appointment time, a late cancellation fee will be issued. Please be mindful of your therapy schedule and communicate any conflicts you might have.
Payment is due at the time the service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Cash, check, or credit card (VISA and Mastercard) are accepted. We do accept flexible spending accounts. We are In-Network Providers with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Priority Health. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us.
As a healthcare provider, The Center is committed to maintaining the privacy of our clients. We value your privacy and that of your child. Your personal healthcare information, and that of your child, is protected at The Center to the fullest extent compatible with applicable state and federal law. A copy of our Privacy Policy will be provided at the time of the initial visit. If you have not received the Privacy Policy, or have received it and would like another copy, or would like to review this policy, we will gladly provide this to you upon request.
The records/billing records that we maintain are the physical property of The Center – the information in those records is part of your private health information.
