Molly is the Owner and Clinical Director of The Center for Childhood Development. She is celebrating 31 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist this year. She continues to love working as an OT and is very passionate about engaging with parents and caregivers, empowering them to build relationships with their children. She encourages parents and caregivers to be part of the therapeutic process, in order to maintain an understanding of their children’s respective developmental levels and personalities.
She has recently completed her Theraplay certification and has completed Deb Dana’s Foundation for Polyvagal Practice, Part 1. Both of these approaches have become integral to her practice as an OT. She continues to work closely with her dear friend Sheila Frick, OTR, on encouraging the use of Therapeutic Listening in the treatment of children. She never tires of learning about the brain, attachment, relationships, and, of course, anything to do with childhood development. In addition to her own continual learning, Molly is passionate about providing her therapists with supervision and continuing education in the DIRFloortime model – as it is the basis for the treatment provided at The Center.
The Center was founded in 2004 and has since grown to three locations across West Michigan. Molly wholeheartedly believes in multidisciplinary, team treatment for children. She is super lucky to have a wonderful staff that loves what they do – as well as great therapy partners at Anchored Family. She has learned a lot about running a business, but the kids and their families continue to be her greatest teachers.
When she’s not at one of The Center’s locations, she loves to relax at her family’s cottage, have her nose in a book, or have discussions with one of her many friends about the brain and neuroscience. She loves to spend time with family and friends to play games, enjoy great meals, or engage in great conversation. She wants you to know that for her this is more than just a job; it is her passion. She feels lucky for that, and for all of the great families and people that she has met along the way. To them all: her greatest gratitude.

Terri graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2014. She loves working at The Center because of the parents and enjoys problem-solving daily challenges to improve a child and their family’s quality of life. She works to understand a child’s experience, interpreting their behavior to inform parents and support self-advocacy. Terri works hard to use a strength-based and neuro-diversity-affirming approach with all clients and families. She brings a playful and empathetic energy into each therapy session and plenty of bubbles, laughter, and joy!
When not at work, Terri enjoys drinking iced coffee in the sunshine, sidewalk chalk with her two daughters, and a competitive game of volleyball. She is a lifelong learner and a self-proclaimed neurobiology nerd.

With over 12 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist working with children of all ages from birth to 19, Greta started her private practice career working at the Jenison and Holland clinics at The Center of Childhood Development in 2013. After her family moved to Kalamazoo in 2017, she served at another pediatric clinic in Battle Creek and Schoolcraft, where she founded the speech and language program and fulfilled the role as the Head of the Speech Department over three separate clinics for 7 years. Before becoming a speech therapist, Greta worked as a 7th-grade language arts teacher in Cincinnati, OH. Greta is delighted to return to The Center to serve as the pediatric speech and language pathologist at our Kalamazoo clinic.
Greta prides herself in providing neuro-diverse-affirming, trauma-informed, relationship-oriented, evidence-based therapy to all children. She has a passion for autism and AAC. She is trained in several programs to support children at all levels and with many different speech and language challenges and difficulties. She loves working with children of all ages and abilities and is adept at coaching parents and caregivers to feel confident in carrying over strategies to support their children at home.
When Greta is not at work, you will often find her hanging out in her kitchen with her two bunnies, Cocoa and Clover while baking, tending to her backyard flock of chickens, leading her church’s youth and Sunday School program, watching her two children at the soccer fields (Go Zoo Crew!), out exploring or just hanging out laughing, watching movies, and playing games with her family and friends.

Cara earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and Psychology at Hope College. Cara comes to us with 5 years of hospital-based outpatient pediatric experience and is thrilled to join The Center!
She is passionate about adding the Vital Stimulation NMES modality to her feeding treatment sessions – a specialty service for children who have difficulty swallowing, often requiring a modified diet including thickened liquids. Cara enjoys working with families to determine the best possible solutions that can be integrated into their lifestyles. She is most excited to have the autonomy to see her families until they are appropriately ready for discharge or a therapy break.
Outside of work, you’ll find Cara traveling with her husband and being active at the gym. Once or twice a year she’ll do her obligatory duty of backpacking with her husband, although she prefers vacationing near a body of water and sunshine. She is due to have her first baby and is looking forward to becoming a “boy mom” with all the fun things that come with that title this July 2024.
